Meet your instructor

Dr. Sina Taghavikish

Instructor at RoboGarden who is also a professional engineer with over 15 years of work experience in mapping, geomatics, and civil engineering. He has personally developed an industrial IoT solution for monitoring deflections using strain gauges and metric cameras in upgrading Calgary's Municipal building's trusses in Python. He has done work on hardware, software and calibration of mobile mapping systems, received his Ph.D. in Geomatics from the University of Calgary, has been the first honor graduate from his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Civil/Surveying Engineering, and has been continuously updating his skills in coding with languages such as C, C++, Visual Basic, Fortran, Matlab, Python, etc.

Nicole Woodland

Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence instructor at RoboGarden since 2019. Nicole is an engineer with a background in geological engineering where data analysis, visualizations and data storytelling were an integral part of her success supporting balanced development in the energy industry. She instructs machine learning and provides consulting services for advanced data analysis and machine learning.
